Back on topic, the question on my mind is: when will R:TW get a makeover with this new engine? (somehow, I've always found the romans more personally interesting that the mideval period)

The funny thing is I was hoping they would remake medieval using the R:Tw engine. Since I tried playing medieval and was appalled by the interface and control; I was spoiled with the easy and fluid interface of RT:W. Don't get me wrong, but I like the Roman perioed as much as the medieval perioed. Now if they make the new game as easy as Rome Total War to mod, then I'm sure will see some Rome mods in ME2 since the Rome TW fan base modding community has grown so large.

I have to agree with both of you, the medieval thing has been done til kingdom come however I keep going back to it, and I've always been a fan of Caesar.
🙂
Not saying I won't buy Med2 because I most definetley will.
By the way any tips on dealing with the public towards the end game in R:TW? I always end up having people revolt, they appear to have enough food, squalor level is good etc, do you guys move your capitals or what?:Q I should probably look this up on a community site but thought I'd ask now since it's kinda OT.

There's a Chivalry: Total War mod somewhere for RTW. That might be something you'd like.

I'll check that out, thanks. Know the name of the site off hand?

I'm about to re-install R:TW after playing about 300 hours of Oblivion :Q

I can't wait for this game. Looks absolutely fantastic.

I haven't got any of the add-ons for Rome but the Realism mod is great.

The Total War games are the ONLY games I play.. Im obsessed with them. Im upgrading my PC strictly for MTW2, though I will try Oblivion to see what all the hype is about...

SOmething I've noticed in the MTW2 videos is the game looks very arcade like. VERY. Especially the units in motion. Anyone notice this? Additionally, armies no longer look "huge" because every unit is so detailed that you can see EVERY unit even when zoomed out, it no longer looks like a giant horde of soldiers... Get what im saying?

Im sure it will be an awesome game, but these are some things to look for in the videos that have been and will be released. Very arcade like...
