Health insurance is an $800 billion market. I would love this bill, but it's clearly a path to kill the insurance industry. I'd love that too, but $800 billion industries usually fight back and win.

Yep. It's a great idea when you're starting from scratch, but as everyone should know, if you want to get anything done, you need key stakeholders onboard. Other countries have ACA-type arrangements (but stronger) than we have and they seem to be fine. No reason to ground the ship because we hear the siren call.

It would be better to try and use political capital to strengthen and expand the ACA instead of creating another explosive bonfire with slim possibilities of ever reaching the president's desk. Due to their lack of power and political realities, it seems to be more of a campaign prop...
