medical transcriptionists are worth there weight in gold. you basically type dictations from doctors that are made on recording machines. the doctors talk incredible fast, and use lots of specialized medical terms, which can change from medical field to medical field. most medical transcription services charge by the typed line, so it pays to be speedy, and that is the catch - it takes a certain knack, and a knowledge of specialized words (i guarantee you these are not even SAT words!) to be able to type these documents quickly and accurately. usually takes time on the job to pick up the lingo. yes you can make excellent money, but it is not an easy job. good place to learn how is in a hospital medical records department - however, you will probably get assigned the graveyard shift to start with.
