I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes about a year and a half ago, and after several medicine changes, my doctor referred me to an endocrinologist because the medicines weren't effecting the blood sugar at all.
The endocrinologist determined that I should go on insulin and after a short interview asked if I would be interested in participating in a medical study using an insulin inhaler instead of using the shot.
They pay for all the supplies and exams, give me a new glucose meter (which sux cuz I just bought a new one anyway) and pay me $35 a visit (9 visits).
Has anyone here ever donated their body to science before they died in this manner? (judging from some of the posts, we do have a post-mortem posting crowd wandering the halls here!)
