Hahahaaa... what a symbolic token this gesture is by our country, who just raped Iraq. Shows the true nature of Bush and his crownies. [PS: Bush is the commander-in-chief, and responsible for his troops actions, don't forget.]

And the US says they want to help Iraq build their country. Humph.

Media, Troops Investigated in Iraq Theft

WASHINGTON - Members of the news media and U.S. soldiers are being investigated for taking art, artifacts, weapons and cash from Iraq (news - web sites), with criminal charges already brought in one case, federal officials said Wednesday.

At least 15 paintings, gold-plated firearms, ornamental knives, Iraqi government bonds and other items have been seized at airports in Washington, Boston and London in the last week, according to the bureaus of Customs and Border Protection and of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

I don't understand what you mean by "symbolic gesture". The authorities are investigating and will prosecute those, both military and civilian, who try to remove money or property from Iraq. This is as it should be. There are always going to be a few bad apples who violate the rules and those in charge should be held accountable only if they do not try to prevent the illegal actions. Bush and his commanders appear to be doing all possible to prevent these thefts.

Your "rape" charge was unnecessary and irrelevant to the story and I will not comment on it further.

Another uninformed troll. If the US wasn't doing anything to take care of this situation, then you'd have a valid point. But sorry you're wrong in this case. Move along, nothing to see here

Did Bush tell the soldiers to steal? Were the commanded to by their superior officers? Are they going to be praised for their actions or punished? And what does the media stealing things have to do with Bush?

I fail to see how a couple bad eggs stealing things is symbolic of the U.S. intentions, or would I consider it rape. Do you think more things were stolen by the U.S. or the Iraqi civilians themselves? I suppose they were against building their country also?

You're bias against Bush is clearly clouding any judgment you may have; please think about the situation before jumping to ignorant conclusions. Bias, hate, and ignorance are a deadly combination.

From Reuters

"On Wednesday U.S. officials said they had charged one former Fox News employee and were investigating some returning journalists after seizing 15 paintings, gold-plated guns and other items taken from Iraq and smuggled into the United States."

Fox news?!?! They're our moral benchmark in this whole thing. We're there to save their souls why are they stealing from them?

Liberating the Iraqis from the evils of materialism would be the Christian thing to do.

I think its a symbolic gesture that you are laughing over the whole ordeal. Is this the best news you've heard in a while?

q]

Grasping at straws, are we? Did you say the same sort of thing about Clinton when an American soldier raped a Japanese girl?

Philly, the things the Fox reporter took were from one of Saddam's palaces, who had the keys to the steel vaults in the Iraqi museum?

By your reasoning we should blame bill clinton for timothy mcveigh.

Is that all you can do is try to twist every single negative thing into yet another reason Bush is just like hitler or some other illogical BS?
