Media Player's Access

Good day, all!

I have Windows Media Player 10 and Zone Alarm. Every time WMP opens up, it wants to access the Internet. I can see this if it was streaming a video or audio, but it happens with local files as well. I've tried looking through options to see if there was anything that I could turn off to keep it from accessing every time it opens up.

The only thing I can think of is that it's trying to open the WMP homepage, even though I'm opening with the Now Playing tab selected. Like many people, I'd like for a program to only access the Internet when I want it to. As of now, I'm having to click Deny on ZA's pop-up window EVERY time, except when I'm streaming video/audio.

Do you have any suggestions on how to disable it from wanting to access the Internet other than for video/audio streams?

Also, setup_wm.exe wants to access the Internet AFTER a file stops playing. Any idea on how to stop this? Thanks a bunch in advance!
