media player with 2x speed

does anyone know a media player that plays 2x speed? I need to watch my lectures but 1.4x is to slow for my taste.

What about Media Player Classic (MPC)?
Click on that FF button once or twice should get it going pretty fast.

I think that in MPC or VLC you can set speed speed to precent of original. I.E. 200% = 2x

do those programs playback avi's with normalized sound?

i'd like that.

cuz i use windvd to do that, very useful if a movie starts to drag, or to listen to a audio commentary/special features..works excellent for those kinda things. and yea the sound is normalized so its not chipmunky if u know what i mean. so far windvd doesn't do that with avi's, only dvds🙁

You can do it in WMP under View > Enhancements > Play Speed Settings. It ranges from -16 to +16

MPC is crap ;(... well i don't like the interface. I however love BS player , if you do end up trying BS player please don't get the 2.0+ because its got spyware , instead get 1.37 http://www.filehippo.com/download_bsplayer/
