I just noticed today that when I play MP3s using MP10 that my CPU usage goes to 99% and the system becomes very slow doing anything else. I have scanned for spyware (MS, Adaware, and Spybot) and viruses (NAV) and nothing turns up. I have looked at the services running and other things and the only thing that seems to be using the CPU full time is the Media Player 10. Any ideas anyone? I am at a loss and am fairly certain this did not happen in the past. Thanks ahead of time for any ideas.

foobar....unless you have some strange attachment to wmp. If you play videos alot, then go with winamp, since it foobar doesn't have a video player. Or is this problem only with music and not videos?

I use WMP daily, never had this issue. Is there a way to reinstall WMP10? Because that's the only thing I can think of to fix it.

Sounds like you have a trojan, I've had some before, they won't get picked up by Spyware or AV programs, and they've made programs of mine to go 100% CPU usage, only way I know to get rid of them is with a program like Trojan Hunter, you can download a free trial here:
