well, title says it all. I'm looking for an alternative program that will still be able to read external subtitle files such as srt. but so far I've only found BSPlayer but that contains so much added junk! What do you guys use?

I think Media Player Classic does. Your choices are pretty limited because most media players are pay. Not sure if Winamp will support external sub files. I've never tried it but you can also give VLC media player a shot. www.videolan.org/vlc

Bsplayer contians added junk?

Did not realize this hmmmmmm.

Might try VLC (I dont know if it does honestly) but it seems to play everything that I throw at it, even things that others wont dream of playing.

BSplayer free version contains ads. Basically adware. BSplayer Pro doesn't contain anything. The license you buy for a Pro version means no ads. I can't really blame them for going this route since the programmers making BSplayer have to eat.

Hmm my bsplayer freeware doesnt contain any ads, very strange. Used it for a very long time now, and just got newest version about few months back (Was last format) and have yet to see one ad at all at anytime from it.

You sure free version has ads? If so not sure why I have never seen one.
