Media player for Flash streaming?

I was almost buying the new Pivos AIOS, as it looked quite good, but then I've found out it has no support for Flash streaming as it uses a HTML5 browser.

Besides playing mkvs, I need a media player to stream video from the web. My favourite sports shows stream through JWPlayer, and I would like to watch that on my tv.

So, does anyone know which media player around $100 (sorry, I can't afford the Boxee) would be able to handle jwplayer and Flash streaming in general?

WDTV? Xtreamer? Or would the AIOS deal with it somehow (app? Firmware update?) ?

thanks in advance

I don't think there's anything around $100 that plays MKV and has a full web browser with Flash.

Now, Best Buy sells refurb Boxee Box's for $130.

Friend bought one and it works perfectly. I also don't know if the HC update for the Revue will add a better network media player. If they updated it do it would play MKV's or if you could get something off the marketplace, that might be the way to go. If Logitech ever pushes that update out, that is...

Great deal, I would definitely go for the extra $30, but I'm in Canada and can't buy from BestBuy.com. The pathetic bestbuy.ca doesn't have the same offer (as if it has ever had anything useful)

The Revue cannot even be found here.

Well, I guess I should go for the one that at least shows potential through future firmware updates (although they all use the same realtek chipset, right?)

So, between the WDTV, the Pivos AIOS and the Xtreamer, which one would deal ok with mkvs and give me at least some flexibility/potential flexibility for streaming web content?

thanks a lot

Well... other than the Boxee Box by D-Link... The Nixeus Fusion XS' web browser uses both HTML5 and Flash 10.1 at least - web browsing is not as smooth as a PC... it shows MKV is supported... I also saw it in action at the gdgt live Los Angeles event in October...

A preview of the potential abilities of this player was written on AnandTech back in March 2011:

From their forums it looks like the release date is sometime early December
I see they have NCIX.com(Canada) as one of the places to buy - so maybe you should ask them...

Wow, that looks like something. Not available in Canada yet, but I'll keep an eye for it. Thanks.
For now, as the Pivos Aios got cheaper, I bought one. Still waiting for delivery, let's see how that one goes.
