For some reason, WMP is being a real beyatch.:| If you try to move the Go To bar, it freezes and has to be End Tasked into submission. Sometimes, after a few loops, it'll freeze the same way.

There's no option to remove it in Add/Remove Programs and reinstalling hasn't helped. I know that WinDVD can cause some probs, but that's long gone.

I'm running Win98SE, system is pimped to the max, so that's not it and it's happened with different video drivers. (GF2)

I've heard nasty things about WMP7, so I'm kinda reluctant to move up.. Any ideas?

I don't have a link to download v6.4, so you might want to try replacing the files in: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player with a working copy, just a suggestion.

My media player is hosed too! I can play audio, but NO video at all, ie mpg, avi, etc. Not sure at what point it happened to me, but I was using WMP 7 for a bit, when it hosed, it went back to 6.4 and it gave the same symptoms, so I went back to wmp7, no fix. Out of despiration, I installed RealPlayer the other night, same $hit. I can end task once, then, if i try again a cold boot is in order.

Seems to me there is a shared common DLL file somewhere that is $hit, I need to know which one it is! ANYONE?????
