Media Player 6.4 doesn't do video on wmv files??

I'm using XP and I noticed that Media Player 6.4 doesn't show the video for wmv files anymore. Files that I used to be able to watch. Now it have only sound, but there is just a gray screen.

Only Media player 8 or higher supports that file format. Why are you using v6.4 on XP? By default XP has MP 8 I believe?

I've played those file before with Media Player 6.4. I upgraded to MP9 when it was out, but I only use it for codecs that MP6.4 can't handle. However, for the .asf, .wmv files I'm referring to, they did play fine in 6.4 before.

Media Player 6.4 and 8(?) were both included.
