When I finish one play list then change to a different one my Media player 10 crashes out stating "media player has encountered an unknown error and will be closed down".
This has confused me for some time and have been unable to figure out whats causing the problem. Normally I wouldn't care and use a different media player. Unfortunatly I'm running XP Media centre Edition which requires media player. (All MP3's are VBR)
I'm running:
XP MCE 2004 SP2
Media Player 10 (all microsoft codecs + the AC3 audio filter)
Geforce4 4400Ti (with the latest XP MCE drivers)
Sonic Fury - Santa cruz sound card (with the only drivers available, which are retail on CD)
MSI KT4v motherboard
AMD 1700 (Palomino)256kb cache
512mb 333mhz of generic double bank RAM
A couple of drives set up as dynamic disks (swap files on a separate partition with it's a file alocation table).
This only started happening ome time around the SP2 or the Media player 10 automated windows update process (can't remember where about 'cos my G'friend use this comp more than me)
