"Needing to Blow off some steam" doesn't have to be read in context. Plus, I heard some more of Limbaugh's rant, and the quotes in no way distort his meaning.

I think I heard part of that broadcast. I think it was taken out of context.

It's pulled from two separate portions of his broadcast. At least that's how it sounds.

But, it still speaks volumes for what he was really thinking (we should have done WORSE to them)


What Rush, and others who follow his line of [non-]thinking, fails to understand is that while on a personal level we may want to abuse, rape, murder, beat, etc. these prisoners, we must rise above that urge and treat them well. We must be better than our enemy in order to maintain our credibility as a nation of the free.

beg pardon? What insecurities? He makes me fear for the intelligence of the human race, but just driving down I-5 during rush hour does that, so it's nothing special.

i find it funny how the left tries to attack the intelligence of its enemies, yet it seems as though the lefts enemies are in higher positions of power. Rush is able to spread right wing propaganda through the radio, while the left has been unable to find its foothold there. Bush is the most powerful guy in the world, yet to listen to the left, hes an idiot. The left lost the governorship of California to a Republican, and lost the senate to a bunch of right wingers.

So, to me it seems as though its the left that are a bunch of idiots for scewing up their influence structure so badly so as to loose as much power as they have in recent years.

And why is that, Genesys? Wouldn't be because Rush works people up into a frenzy? Wouldn't be because he berates callers and shouts and yells? That's all designed to increase ratings. The show's producers pick calls they know will cause controversy or allow Rush to berate someone.

Another sign to Rush's success is the general dumbing-down of America. People are more and more failing to think for themselves, rather, they fall into the sheep mentality.

And, it's not just the "left" that despises Rush. I've despised him for years and I was a tried-and-true Republican until the last several years.
