Media Extender + XBOX 360?

I have MCE2005 and I have the software installed right, but I cant seem to see any of my movies even though I added them to the list of folders that I want my XBOX 360 to see. Where exactly do I go to set this up?

Can someone help me out here?

360 won't play divx, there are programs that will convert your divx to a format the 360 can read realtime though, so that you don't have to convert all your movies...

for some reason my XBOX can only see the "My Videos" folder from my documents. Why wont it see the other folders that I shared?

I've been using Transcode360. Works great.

Still wish they would formally support Divx and Xvid.

I'm having problems where I've shared the folder on my PC and I can see the folders I want in the my videos area but on the xbox I dont see the folders I added to MCE. WTF? I have media extender running and everything

Are you running Windows Media Center Edition? If so, start WMCE and add those folders inside WMCE.

Media Center and Vista are a pain in the ass for some reason. You tell it to look in x folder and it doesn't.

The best thing to do is just put them in your My Media folder or whatever the default folder is. I have had a lot of trouble with these in the past too and I just do what I mentioned earlier.

Anyway, the 360 plays some mpg files and wmv. Not avi.
