media driver missing error in efi only

I have a HP envy dv4t-5200 and I am trying to do a fresh install of windows on it. When I boot into the installer with secure boot enabled I get the media driver missing error. When disable secure boot and enable legacy boot, and the boot from the legacy dvdrom option I can install normally.

I have tried two different discs one that I burnt and also the original pressed oem dvd. Both give the exact same error in secure boot and both work fine in legacy boot. I have also tried a different hard drive and different ram, with no effect.

Does anyone know what I am missing? I would rather have secure boot enabled if possible.

I never could find the answer so I just went with an mbr install.

edit: I went ahead and did the 10 upgrade and then did a fresh install of 10 with secure enabled and it worked. why microsoft, why?
