Media Center XP has no sound on DVD playback?

Hello all.

Installed and running Windows Media Center on my rig and everything's been sweet and stable. However, I cannot seem to get any audio whenever I play a DVD. Audio is fine on music and downloaded video playback, however.

Any ideas? I was thinking I need to connect the audio cable from my DVD drive to my motherboard, but I haven't had to that since 1997! Is this the problem? If it is, I gotta go find one...

Thanks for any thoughts or answers!

Which dvd decoder are you using?

Oh...I still need a decoder even with Media Center? I thought it was good to go for DVD playback. Previous to Media Center, I was using Power DVD for Windows XP DVD playback.

So I need a DVD decoder? Any reccomendations?

Thanks so much...
