Media Center Problems

Hey folks,

I've set up a new Windows Media Center PC recently. We have an action pack (or something like that) subscription from Microsoft where we get to test out all their fancy software packages. I used the CDs from that action pack to install. So there are no manuals.

The problem I am having is that Windows works fine, but I don't have any MCE application. I don't know if something is wrong or I just don't know what I'm doing. Shouldn't I see something on the STart menu?

I don't have a remote. My TV Tuner card is an Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150.

I don't see anything I can add/remove under the Control Panel for Media Center. Can you guys help me out?

Are you certain you used an MCE key and not a Pro key when installing? The installer will install Pro if given a Pro key (and Tablet if given a Tablet key). Also, when installing, you started with Disc 1, inserted Disc 2 when prompted, then Disc 1 when prompted again?

see, it didn't ask me for all that. When I right click on My Computer and go to properties, It says Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2.

I was never prompted for disc 2 during the install. I have the 2nd disc and can see the Media Center cab file.
