Media Center Extneder and Codecs

I'd like to know too. I'd also like to know if there's a way to get MCE05 to recognize other video formats such as ogm or mkv.
 
I'm interested in this too, as I just helped the folks set up a Linksys Media Center Extender a few weeks ago. Works surprisingly well over the home network, as long as the main MC machine isn't at 100% on the processor.
 
Doing this without vendor support would be impressive. Please, somebody say they have been able to do this? This is one of the reasons I didn't mod an XBox for home theater playback.

modded xbox + xbmc + sagtv .... way better than XPMCE
