WTF..why would anyone use this?? I won an ebay auction a few weeks ago, and my item was sent on the 3rd, and I still have not received. I emailed the guy asking and he said it could take 3 weeks. I sent an item last week from Arkansas to Michigan with Parcel and it took two days.

Cheap way to send media items. I use it for heavier items shipped through Half.com.

Someone shipped me something through media mail over on FS/FT. Took it more than a month to arrive on my end.

One of my textbooks weighs 11lbs 12oz. Shipping from Pennsylvania to California costs:
Priority Mail: $23.85
Parcel Post: $21.19
Media Mail: $6.17

Problem: Media Mail will probably take close to 2 weeks.

Best bet to get it there faster than an asthmatic 3-legged donkey, yet cheaper than Parcel Post: Use FedEx or DHL ground. DHL Ground manages to get a package across the country in about 5 days.

the best thing is when you pay for faster shipping and the fscker still sends it media mail, so you're halfway through the class before your text book arrives :|
