I got both and prefer Medal of Honor over RtCW, especially in the single player mode.
BTW, you should also look at Ghost Recon.

edit: MoH is currently only $29.99 at CC and $34.99 at Target.

if your only looking at single player, I'd say go MOH only due to price. RTCW is still around $50.00, save 20 bucks and play MOH then try RTCW. Mabey the price will fall.

RtCW - For the simple fact that it actually RUNS!!! It's the best looking game out and is kinda fun until you realize it's a really linear, find-key-open-door type game with sketchy AI and which becomes opressively boring toward the end. (Switched to God mode in Mission 7 to finish the game.)

MOHAA is a buggy, unrunable POS and I hope everyone at EA responsible for this bugfest dies of ass cancer!:|

i am liking MOH so far, about half way thru.. I didnt really like ghost recon, I was used to Delta Force: Land Warrior, which is 10x easier than Ghost recon, I kept getting owned in single player. :(

RTCW I'm not very far and I havent played it much, it is pretty boring i guess, never realized until i thought about it and why i dont play it.

as for multiplayer I love Urban Terror for quake3!

Out of MOH and RTCW - I'd vote for MOH. I found RTCW really boring to play.

AVP2 is also pretty good too, I'd also look at that if you haven't got it yet.

i REALLY liked RTCW (down right fun shooter), MOH (atmosphere), and Ghost Recon (simulation).

I'd get Undying or No one lives forever if you haven't played them unless you HAVE to go with a WWII theme, then, I think this thread pretty much cover is. I haven't even bothered finishing RTCW yet, and I'm a sucker that finished Quake 2, so it's THAT boring.

I prefered RTCW to MOA the first time through, I'm finding MOA has much more replay value though as I've not picked up RTCW much at all since finishing. I'll agree with a couple of others in this thread though, I prefer Ghost Recon to both of them.

I think that's a different genre though, and if we're going that way, I'd say Operation Flashpoint is better.

Richleader is on the ball-- Operation Flashpoint has my vote for best sp game. And the multiplayer is great, too. I regularly play with 4 other people, and it's fantastic. The game is so immersive! You have the freedom to go ANYwhere using ANY available mode of transprtation (stealing a civilian's car sure beats walking/running several kilometers), and you HAVE to use coverand concealment to stay alive. The islands are HUUUUGE, and there is SO much variety in the game. There are random elements that keep the missions challenging (they are programmed that way by the mission author) And then, just when you get proficient as a infantry guy, you start playing other roles, like tank commander, Helo pilot, A-10 pilot, SF guy, prisoner of war/escapee, as well as commanding units of infantry, armor, etc. You can make your own missions using the editor, too.

As a servicemember, this is definitely my favorite game. I lose track of time even worse than I do when playing Civilization 3.

Also, the AI is outstanding, the few remaining bugs are *very* minor (it's up to 1.42 now), and there are a lot of people making addons and missions, and even additional campaigns. I now have winter and jungle environments, complete with appropriate uniforms (the tigerstripes and NVA black pajamas/sandals are especially cool) and skins for vehicles. The weapons handle very well. I guess I could go on and on about this game.

Oh, and if you hear people griping about the graphics--- forget it-- yes, the trees kinda suck when you're right on top of one, but everything else MORE than makes up for that.

check out www.flashpoint1985.com and read the reviews. I can't wait to see what Codemasters and Bohemia Studios come up with next!!

MOH: AA all the way! I liked RTCW but it got boring fighting the whole mystical beasts thing after awhile, i prefered the whole D-Day and army bit form Medal of Honor.

MOH is awesome, and I don't know why DefRef is having so many problems with it, but it is definitely not buggy. It's just like you are playing Saving Private Ryan and the graphics are awesome. Besides that it costs less.

If your looking for a single player, then definately MOH. I have really gotten absorbed into it. RTCW seems to have a really boring single player but rocks multi. I haven't played any of the others mentioned :(

I guess I'll pile on the MOH bandwagon, too. Awesome SP game. If you have a killer machine and vid card, the cut scene in the landing craft approaching Omaha Beach is the best graphics I have ever seen. It's damn near real life. :)
