I decided to load this oldie back up, and the view bob is killing me. Makes me nauseous.

I know I had it turned off back in the day, and I thought the command should be similar to Quake 3, since it uses the Q3A engine, but I must not be doing it correctly.

Anyone remember how to edit this thing so my dude doesn't bob around when moving?

So you just open your console and type those in just as they are? I thought I remembered something about opening some file and inserting the commands so it would always run that way.

Let me know if you play it online and if anyone is around. That game was my favorite for a long time and wouldn't mind revisiting it....if I could find my first install disc lol

You may have to add +set ui_console 1 to the target line of the shortcut to the game to enable the console, but I can't remember for sure. Yes, you can just edit the config file and add those lines but I'm pretty sure doing it in game saves them anyway. Don't have it installed currently to check where the particular config file is located and it depends upon which OS you're using as well. I think it was unnamedsoldier.cfg

Okay, I edited the unnamedsoldier cfg file, and then tried the game....doesn't save the changes for some reason.

Quit game, go back to the file and it's back to its original setting. Must be some little thing I'm missing.

using XP, btw

I just installed it to try it out and it didn't work for me either. Those commands are what is saved to my game patches/configs folder and they are listed along with my lean+strafe and other various binds and tweaks so I'm pretty sure they are correct or I wouldn't have saved them. However I'm thinking those particular commands may only work for multiplayer??

Nah, there has to be a way to do it for single player, too. I do appreciate the effort, though.

I know I did it when the game originally came out. I wonder if the original commands for Q3A would do it....aren't they slightly different (maybe without the "seta")?
