Medal Of Honor : Airborne

Ok, it seems alot of people have the same issue that I am having. And that is the installer for Airborne.

The problem is, when you run the .exe it starts extracting, but before it finishes....my computer just reboots. I have tried about a dozen times so far with the same result.

I have found several sources online that claim, while the game is being extracted...look at the destination of the folder for the extracted files, then after the PC reboots...go to that TEMP folder and install from there.

Well, I cannot find that directory because my PC reboots before the extracting finishes. But I do believe the extracting has completed once because my free space on C: went down by almost 3 gig or so. But the directory still was not able to be found.

Does anyone know how to get around this ? All of my hardware is in my sig and I am running Win XP Pro.

Ideas ?

You have to uninstall the Nvidia PhysX drivers first. Its UE3.0 so it has the legacy Ageia drivers trying to install. If they fail it kills the launcher.

Ok, I uninstalled PhysX from add/remove.

And it still rebooted upon extraction completion.

I like how you earn medals and stuff in the game while progressing. I became a Marksman in the demo

I like using the bolt action *cant remember the name of the gun* for single head shots.

Kar98k? I agree, the upgrading of guns is a blast, even if the game is way too short.

Hmmm - $9.99 at Best Buy. A great pick up for my dad 3

How do you guys think the performance will be with a x1900GT? Needs to push 1280*1024 with good frame rates, at least medium graphics.

COD4 coming out at the same time killed the game, but on it's own it was a very fun single player. I'd say it was short, but that seems to be the norm nowadays rather than exception.

Airborne's a pretty good game, but it's very short, shorter than CoD 4 even. It's quite possible to finish it in 5-6 hours.
