Med students - What Anatomy book did you use for gross?

Woodburne or Gray for the text

The indispensible "Atlas of Human Anatomy" by Frank Netter, master artist behind the CIBA collection of medical illustrations (original publications are highly prized and worth thousands of dollars).

"The Color Atlas of Anatomy: A Photographic Study of the Human Body" (cadaver photos)

all you need to do fine as a med student is netter and grant's for dissection. gray's is far too detailed for school.

netter will become your bible.

edit: grammar

I used Netter and Essential Clinical Anatomy by Moore. Netter is pretty good of course but I didn't like Moore that much. It has nice diagrams but it doesn't explain some things very well, or the language is sometimes too hard to understand.

A friend of mine (who is a resident) recommended Snell to me so I used that also. I also used the Gross Anatomy board review series by Kyung Won Chung. It's good for concise review of material.

And lastly, for dissections, I used the Color Atlas of Anatomy by Rohen. It has real pictures of dissections instead of idealized diagrams found in textbooks. Great for preparing for practical exams.

Woot!! I just finished my anatomy final today!!
