Mechwarrior 4 2.0 patch question

I always get "code 0036" when I try to install it. Can anyone help me figure out where or how to install it properly? Thanks.

Are you running an install with a nocd cra-ck or cra-cked .exe? If you are, deinstall and reinstall the game from the original CD before applying the patch.
