mechwarrior 3....on xp

i made a thread a while ago about mech 3 not working. now it gives me an error. The instruction at "0x7c80979d" referenced memory at "0x0149b014". The memory could not be "written".
click ok to terminate the program what does that mean?!

It means MW3 doesn't work on XP. The same thing happened to me with MW2, you should try getting MW4, or you could run the one game settings in XP that allows you to play games in some sort of Windows 98 mode. I don't know anything about that, but microsoft.com will tell you.

You could use your downgrade rights to run Win2000 (or 98) instead of XP, if you get truly desparate.
