anyone got any MechAssault strategies? I'm not the worst player in the world, but I'm far from being really good.

Playing all the way through the SP missions will give you a LOT of experience with MANY different kinds of mechs.

Also, certain of the 3 various control schemes sometimes are better at helping you get the most out of different mech classes and configurations.

Finally, stay AWAY from bridges, either on them or below them! (thanks to weagle for "reminding" me of that last night :))

Thanks TallGeese, I'll definitely try some of the single player one of these days. Maybe if the cable goes out ;)

So you use different control schemes with different mechs? Interesting...I didn't ever think to try that.

More action oriented than MW4. No mech customization either.

Heat management is not as big of a deal, altho it is VERY helpful to know which of your weapons generate no (or at least minimal) heat if you need a moment or two to cool down.

Example: I like to have my jump jet control assigned to the left trigger in a jump jet capable mech.
MUCH easier for granular control (for "Death from Above" maneuvers especially) instead of that damn stick button.

Non-jump capable mechs, tho...I usually prefer the left trigger to cycle weapons

I REALLY wish the controls in MA were completely customizable (a la MotoGP). THAT would be HELLA SWEET!!!

Thats very cool...I agree that that stupid stick button doesn't work well at all for jump jetting. What are your favorite mechs?

So far:
Mad Cat
Atlas (it looks so badass too)

still tryin out the Mech classes and variants tho.

I think it would be AWESOME if you could use the Steel Batallion controller with MA.
Not that I own one of the expen$ive monsters, of course.

But that would be pretty cool (even if most of the controls didn't do a darn thing)

Yeah Mad Cat seems to be the favorite one online. Honestly I think its heavily overpowered...it eats the small and medium sized mechs for breakfast. And there should be a way to break a lock with the energy weapons. the only one that can remotely avoid it is it the Owens...which gets chewed up by every other weapon.
