I'm off to Arby's for lunch. I'm going to try the Meat Mountain, who's with me? :)

Never would I pay $10 for any single item at Arby's. Especially, one with "meat" advertised in the name.

You're in San Jose, I'm sure a respectable fast food place is nearby: Jack N the Box or In-n-out.

I have yet to find the caloric intake of this behemoth listed. Anyone find that choice nugget of information yet ?

Note that it does not appear on the Arby's menu, it is a secret menu item that the customer must order by name.

2 chicken tenders, 1.5 ounces of roast turkey, ham, corned beef, brisket, Angus steak and roast beef, one slice of Swiss cheese, once slice of cheddar cheese and three half-strips of bacon. All on a single bun.

Just an estimation:
chicken tenders: 92.5 for 2
roast turkey: 81 (54 calories per ounce)
ham: 61.5 (41 calories per ounce)
corned beef: 106.5
brisket: 44
steak: 118
roast beef: 106
swiss cheese: 106
cheddar cheese: 113
bacon: 69
bun: 120

So, total of 1017.5 without sauce. This is just a quick estimate based on the first result in google for calories. Don't take it as truth or fact. =)

Saw the article the Consumerist did on it. Looks like an epic sandwich. Too bad Arby's never really caught on here. There's very few locations in Toronto, none near by. I must try this sandwich!

Pass. Jamming more and more things onto a sandwich doesn't necessarily make it better.

You're not missing much. Their meat is fairly tasteless and their fries leave a lot to be desired. There are plenty of better places, especially if you enjoy a sandwich that doesn't taste similar to cardboard.

Arby's is much better today than in back in the past. IMHO the Brisket sandwich they have is really good. And unless you just don't like them in general, they serve seasoned curly fries which own hard.

Frankly, I am quite shocked it isn't twice that !! I'm thinking 2,000 just based on content, but I'll stick with my french dip from Arbys at this point.

Was amusing when they made that poster people started requesting it.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...n-from-arbys-its-exactly-what-it-sounds-like/

I may have to do it someday, just because.

That secret menu thing is pretty good.

I used to work near one, half the time I used to ask about the 5 arbys for 6 bucks thing they used to do, and even if they weren't advertising it att, they'd give me the deal.

I'd eat lunch a few days off em.

Funny I just ordered myself a pizza from Toppers called Meat Mountain.

I got up late due to still being in night shift mode, had stuff to do, and did not eat anything all day and it's now 8:30pm. It's going to be good.
