I was wondering how people measure case temperatures. I understand that there are programs that will tell you your cpu and vga temps, but what about the inside of the case? How do you measure that?

The motherboard temp is what I go by. Well I do have a thermostat on the top of my case measuring exhaust temps.

Dittos!

Global warming <redacted> have the same problem!

Where do you measure the temperature of the earth? In the desert - on a mountain - the middle of the ocean?!?!?!

Same applies to measuring case temperature... ;)

For some reason my dad gave me a digital inside/outside thermometer one day, just said he didn't need it.

It has a temp sensor at the end of a wire which I place inside my case. Gives me a good indication of the difference between intake and case temps. Switches between farenheit and celsius. Records the max temp. Pretty useful, a bit pricey, but if you search for indoor/outdoor thermometers you can find cheaper ones.
