Measuring FPS in RTCW v1.31

I haven't been able to run the checkpoint benchmark ever, I do mean ever. Even when the demo came out and everyone was benching this I was left out. Currently this is my Primary game and want to see how well it's performing on my system...tweaking/upgrading hardware. Can anyone help me in getting this to run on my computer?

Anyone else having the same problem?

(1) Create a folder called demos in the Main folder inside RTCW.
(2) Extra the checkpoint demo and change the extension to dm_67 (note I can't remember if this extension is right, the game will tell you when you try to run it).
(3) Launch the multiplayer version of RTCW.

The file should be named checkpoint.dm_58
