There are certain advantages to a 1.5L motor. :) Not bad for a 17 year old carbureted car. The car in question is an '86 Honda civic CRX. The test was highway driving, but it wasn't easy highway driving. I filled the car up this morning in 85 degree heat, and proceeded to drive from sea level to a peak altitude of 7240 feet. I then descended to 4,500 feet, and 95 degree air. I picked up a couple things, turned around and drove back over the mountain, returning to 100 degree afternoon heat on the other side of the mountain. Total distance was 288 miles, on 6.88 gallons of regular unleaded.

How many cars have you got now Tyler? I know you said you bought a Focus. Then there's the F150 somewhere there was mention of a newer Civic.

I've been wanting to get one of those. Did it struggle up the mountains?

It's a DX, which is the mid-level trim between the HF and Si. It didn't struggle too badly with the mountains. It was a little slow in sections, but I could always keep it at least at the speed limit (65).

And for 2 people we have 4 cars now. The CRX, Focus, Mustang, and F100. Too many... probably going to sell the CRX soon.
