Very nice. Do that a few more times and you'll be in the top 100 by the end of the week. :)

uFluids seems like a worthwhile project. I just have my "hand in the cookie jar" in way too many projects already and not enough computing power to run everything I'd like to properly...

Keep up the nice work! :)

Definitely one of the projects that I looked into. What kind of processing power are you using to be on top? Doesn't look that high.

Looks like you'll thrust the team into the #4 spot in under a month.

The Pentium D 805 ("2.66", yeah right :)) is the workhorse, with the FX-55 not far behind. Smoke has a 805 D running some incredible numbers somewhere. I'm looking to come somewhat close. I think it's working and it would be fun to get the box on top for RAC. I think I spent ~400 for the whole thing, so...

The rest of the machines are indeed rather mundane compared to todays boxes. Interestingly, the laptop with the mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2000+ holds its own quite nicely. I just figured uFluids was a nice quiet project, and could use a boost.

cheers,

And by the way, they finally managed to code checkpoints into the project, so no more lost work if you reboot or turn off your PC!

:beer::p:thumbsup:

If the current WU shortage for TANPAKU continues, I'll move some CPU power back to µfluids in the meantime. :evil:

For some reason a bunch of WU's that I sent in just said "client detached" and were lost.

They have a new app (4.10) that hopefully won't error out like the previous one did. Those with W2K and Win2003 boxes were getting hammered. I've "re-applied" my quick boxes, and hope to jump TA from 6th to 4th by the end of the month. Wish me luck!!

As I said, with TANPAKU down at the moment, that's 3 crunchers 24/7 on µfluids again :evil:

And I can smell #4 already ;)

I hear you man, my few machines create about 50 MB of upload a day, but for you, that must be more like 1 GB a day or so.

Just my few personal machines but all I have is on it. Some of them are still finishing up some Simap units.

Your "few personal machines" pushed us to the #1 spot in RAC! :thumbsup:

Pat yourself on the back. :D
