^I have wondered this, when there is true AI how long until it can vote, what justification for not allowing it to vote and what if it makes a billion copies of itself?
Would an AI be a better leader or manager because it has no jealousies or ego?

I don't keep up on this kind of news so maybe I've missed a lot of iterations in getting it to this point, but I had this immediate "wtf no way" reaction when I saw how smoothly it ran.

To me, that was the most interesting part of the movie "Her". The issues it raises with computer rights. Unless you believe in magic, humans are just lumps of programmed meat. What happens when computers display a large portion of human behavior? Maybe they can even start to feel with sufficient programming. Kick your computer when it acts up, and it might call the CPS(ComputerProtectiveServices) on you :^D

Some robotics experts claim that by 2030 or shortly afterward, robots will do all the housework and regularly drive all vehicles, including delivering fresh food and household supplies, all ordered over the Internet, so there will be no need to visit physical shops any more. The delivery vans may be supplemented by drones.

You can see the somewhat clumsy start of all this even today. iRobot made Roomba, the vacuuming robot, and followed it with Scooba, which washes floors. It is working on other household robots that can connect wirelessly to each other through a head butler, which is operated by a human. Japanese scientists are working on robots that can care for elderly and sick people.

My perception is that Japan is a rapidly ageing society. One, that doesn't have enough young people in the current generation to take care of all of the old people. Given that society's aversion to immigrants, robots may be their best choice.
