I don't know...I have shoes that simply say "Made in Korea". Heck, I don't think I've ever seen anything labelled "Made in South Korea". Or do we have a trade embargo with them like Cuba, thereby making "Korea" implicitly mean "South Korea"?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the official name of South Korea is the Republic of Korea. When you see a label that states "Made in Korea", I believe it is referring to South Korea.

What missile do they have that can reach CA? The Dong3 has a range of ~4000 miles which would reach parts of Alaska but nowhere near CA.

The dong3 is an ICBM that is about 150ft tall and needs to be assembled from 3 parts on-site, which requires several days. The furthest range of any North Korean ship-based missle is 40 miles.
