I know the difference between the 9100i and the 9110i is only the software and I know the difference between the 9140i and the 9150i is only the software. But can someone please tell me the difference between the 9100i/9110i units and the 9140i/9150i units? IE - who makes them - Sony? Other hardware/spec. differences? Thanks in advance. Ron

Actually, I tried looking up the specs for ya on HP's Website, and after comparing the specs, they all seemed to have the same 8x.4x.32x speeds, but the 9100i/9110i has a 4MB buffer compared to a 2MB buffer on the 9140i/9150i.

Thanks. I should have mentioned I had been there already. I hadn't noticed the difference in buffer size. If that is the only difference, it seems as though they are going backward in features since the 9140/50 are their current production models (I believe). A buddy of mine thinks the 9100/10 is a Sony and isn't sure about the current models. Ron
