Hmmm... I was the youngest of a pack, so I was usually the target. But, whenever they wanted to play tricks on their friends, they usually used me as the bait and I was very willing as this was my only 'revenge' so to speak.
We all were competitive swimmers and went camping at the beach frequently. We had a family tradition of swimming out in the ocean about a mile to these rocks (don't know why, we just did it). Anyhow, one year my brother (18 y/o at this time) brought a friend and he was trying to talk him into swimming out to the rocks with us. I remember him pointing to me (I was 9) and telling his friend that I swam out there all the time. His friend asked me if that was true and I told him it was. So, thinking that if a 9 y/o could do it, then he could too, we headed out. We almost got there too. But, the poor guy cramped up and nearly drowned. My brother held onto him, keeping him afloat while one of my sisters swam in to get help. Ended up having the Coast Guard pull him out of the water. And YES, we all got into loads of trouble.
