Although it looks good, I'd much rather have something from Abit, Asus, EPoX, or DFI for example

Ya, after my experience with my current MSI motherboard, I will be buying an Abit or Asus next time.

Is there commonly a lot of problems with MSI boards? I am probably going to buy the K8N Neo Platinum A64 board, unless MSI is not a favorable company.

My K8T Neo board is running great. NEVER crashes and has had no problems. It's not a great overclocker but it wasn't expected to be. I will definately be ordering a new K8N as soon as they are available.

Which A64 cpu are you using with the MSI K8T, what memory, and what overclock did you acheive?

I have never heard of alot of problems with MSI boards. I am currently using a MSI motherboard and MSI video card and both have been very reliable.

What I have always found when someone brings in a so called unreliable motherboard is that they spend loads of money on a decent motherboard and then buy the cheap memory. They then complain to me because the computer isn't reliable?

My experiences have been good with MSI so I will consider a MSI K8N Ultra motherboard! :)

I have never had an issue with an MSI board until my current MSI K8T Neo-FISR2, with the board I am suffering from a dead Floppy Disk Controller, a dead IDE 2 Connection, and am having very serious BIOS corruption issues. I have tried several types of memory for the board, including Mushkin Black Level 2 PC3500 (Board didn't like it when running at default 2-2-2-6), Corsair XMS PC3500 (Ran fine, but wouldn't allow me to go above 210FSB when overclocking), and finally my current Geil Ultra Platinum PC3500 (Works ok, doesn't like to overclock too much, vDimm has to be 2.75V or higher to achieve latencies of 2.5-3-3-6 @ PC3200). I have heard a lot of people who have really good luck with these boards, I got a bad one, and looking at the MSI Forums, there are a lot of weird issues associated with these boards. I guess it's all about luck, and unfortunately I had bad luck on this one.

I do think that the nForce3 250 board I will be buying will mostl ikely be an Asus or Abit, as I have never had problems with either of those companies or any of their associated boards.

You would be having problems with comments like "very serious BIOS corruption issues", RMA that motherboard because IMO it's faulty! :(

3200+, 2 x 512mb pc4000 HyperX(have 3 but it won't run stable with 3 sticks installed). Reached a high of 2100mhz. I have to admit I didn't put a lot of effort into OC'ing it. Didn't really feel the need to. It is fast enough stock.
