I am puzzle why when I try to play the 'Thirteen Days' dvd from the DVD-ROM on my pc, it does not seem to work. But when try 'The Rock' and 'U571', they works. All disk code 1.
I am using the Asus 8xDVD-ROM player. Also when I launch the DVD player, it shows me Region 3.

DVD [Thirteen Days] cannot playback while [U571] and [The Rock] can though all are code 1.
I am using whatever the Radeon AIW dvd sw that comes.

Yea, try that software mdXtreme3d gave you.

If that still doesn't fix it, check and see if it's the software. One way to check is by installing other DVD softwares.

I can't remember the sites offhand exactly but PowerDVD should be CyberLink

and WinDVD should be Intervideo

Both are trial versions but it's enough to determine if the ATi DVD software you're using is the problem.

It shouldn't be the software. I use ATI's DVD player all the time (it is the newest version for your operating system, right?) with no problem. Although I have not ever tried "13 Days" I will say that my does come up as Region 1 when I start the DVD player and has successfully played every DVD I have tried to view. Some DVD players allow you to change the Region selection under the DVD-ROM in the hardware manager. you might want to check that for settings.
