Me? Apologize?

Ok, so let's say hypothetically, I was a smart ass at work and may have ticked off someone by my tone of voice.

Do I need to apologize?
or
Move on, get back to work and hope the other person gets over it too?

*UPDATE*
Did it, got it over with, now it's time to move on. Hopefully it's all good, but we'll have a talk later on.

(not bumping this thread in hopes it just dies)

If you want to eliminate the problem, just apologize. Yes, everybody thinks it's hard, but all you have to do is say, "I'm sorry." It works even when you really didn't do anything. The problem goes away and you don't have to worry about it. Besides, it's usually not a good idea to have problems at work, as you're stuck there just above everyday with the same people and spend more time with them than you do family 😛

Was afraid of that answer, but I was leaning that way. This is all hypothetical, of course. haha😉 Oh, and an email apology wouldn't suffice, right? yeah yeah. . .

sorry i was an asshole the other day, buy your stupidity was driving me nuts.

That would be great in an ideal world. . .but not the one i live in.

details details. . .let's see

If for some reason I were to say, "you're my lead, thats why I'm asking you what needs to be done", then that person starts to raise their voice at me.

I need to know what to do after that event, should it ever occur.

I need a

You guys just need to reach an agreement. But at the same time, as a good employee, you should be able to self-manage 😉

yea that is like saying"no those pants don't make you butt look big, your butt makes those pants look big." see how that one goes?

Apologise, let them know you were just being a smart ass and that you don't mean any harm. Then Insult their sense of humor and walk away with your chin held high.
