Me and the SO were having a talk

You guys know that underwear most boys wear as a kid (and sometimes as an adult)? It's tight, white, and small. They are pretty much like briefs.

Well, the SO and I were talking about them, and I called them whitie-tighties. She then replied:

"Whitie-tighties? What the fuck are those? Don't you mean tighty-whities?"

We then discussed (note: viciously argued) which one of us was right to not avail. We even consulted the internet only to find both terms exist.

So now I leave it up to ATOT to prove which one is more popular, and therefore the winner!

Based on my previous internet findings, I am predicting she will win, but this will be the battle that decides all!

EDIT: NSFW REFERENCE

Definitely tighty-whities, the other way makes no sense at all.

Damn, the one vote for whitie tighties is me...

But..but..they are white tights! Therefore whitie tighties! The other way doesn't make sense, because what the hell are whities?

Tightie whities:

Tight(the fit) = adjective
Whities(the underwear) = noun

It's tight underwear, not underwear tight...

Oh, I've never heard as whities being underwear. I was thinking White tights, instead of tight underwear.

In my mind whitie = white, like tighty = tight. Then tighties = tights.

There, I voted for Whitie-tighties. Not that I prefer to use that one, but just because I don't want you to lose to your SO this badly.

In all honesty though I know people that also call them Whitie-tighties. I also live in Texas, we say some pretty random stuff down here and aint got too good of grammar.

I've heard both, but just like the poll reflects, "tighty whities" is more common in my experience.
