ME and GTS?? Lousy combo??

Hi Guys,

I've just installed WinME from a clean boot situation. I formatted my HDD before installing it. Everything wasfine. The installation went well.

After all the setuping, I installed the Detonator 6.34 for my CL GTS and rebooted. Everything was fine still. Theni started Quake3, while configuring the controls, the system hang on me. Initially I thought my system overheated. I enter the BIOS and checked everything. It was about 54 celcius ( It might be hot to you but I ran at65 celcius on WIn98Se and everything was stable ) I gave up running Quake3. I did 3Dmark2000, during the first demo, I only hit bout 70FPS and it hang on me mid way into the demo. I'm really desperate for a solution now. Is it me or is it WinME is acting up big time?? Should I stick to Win98se?? I tried installing the earlier detonators but to no avail. ;(

same problem here, with my leadtek geforce 2 gts

I fixed it, i went to Leadtek and got the latest drivers rather then the detenators directly from nvidia. It works fine now. I have to mension, all u win98 users, upgrade to ME, the graphics is soo much more clearer and smooth!

i have a prophetIIgts 32 in my ME setup.
everything works fine. make sure you get the latest drivers from your manufacturer. the latest detonator drivers work well, but if they don't work for you try using an older version.
