There was an online little program.....you would present a query....a band name....there was a bunch of swirling, and the entries other people with similar tastes made would be presented. Kind of a nexus of similar music.

Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about? Because this thing was pretty f'ing cool, and I need to rebuild my music collection.

He's talking about collaborative filtering, I think. This is what amazon.com and Tivo use to recommend shows/books/music etc.
