Ok, so as much as i worked to finally get it to work, im quite disgruntled that i can't JUST use the television as the monitor, as my Divx movies won't work on DualHead Clone, only when it's set to DVDMax. SOOOO...i'm lookin to get a good card with TV-Out. In case u guys don't remember my last thread, this is for a DIVX Entertainment PC only. Here are the specs:

AMD K6-2 500
512mb Ram
5gb HD
MATROX G450 16mb AGP DualHead
40X SCSI CD-rom

So what's the best TV-Out card for the price...not lookin to spend too much. i checked NewEgg & these seemed to be nice: ATI OEM RADEON 7000 VE 32MB DDR W/TVATI RADEON 7000 for $43, or the 64meg version for $47. Or what about the Hercules Prophet II MX?

lmk guys! thanks

the new Kyro II se (or whatever) has some nice specs on TV-out..

otherwise a ATI choice (at least Radeon or higher) is your best bet.

STAY AWAY FROM NVIDIA FOR TV-OUT!!!

Even though the deal isnt on anymore, I feel obligate to defend my card =)
Using tv tool: [tvtool]http://www.tvtool.de/index_e.htm[/L] the Tvout is exceptional, with the only problem of not being able to use twinview features, which kinda sucks. I've now moved on to watching my divx with a riva 128 pci on a projector =).

Good luck with the Tvout scarface.

well, i went with a Dell OEM GeForce2 MX 32mb AGP w/ TV-out, so hopefully we'll see how the quality is. btw, would it be worth overclocking it? i know it's easy, just don't know if it'd make a difference for watchin divx.

I have a Videologic VividXS Kyro 2 with tv out and the quality is amazing and with no black borders too.
From what I've heard the tv output quality of the new Kyro 2 SE is supposed to be even better! :)
