Im trying to find out what these files do.. any why they are there.

Now MDM.exe is Microsoft Debug manager.. why is it always running on my system? (WinXP) I can kill it any my system works fine, but when I check back, its there again.. Doesnt seem to do anything but waste CPU time and memory...

As for csrss.exe, what is this thing? Its always using CPU time when I move my USB intellimouse(10-20%).. whats its purpose..?

Whats also weird.. I changed harddrives in my system. Got a new 40GIG and put in a Promise ATA 100 PCI controller card (thats the only difference between two installs). Now there is something using very small amounts of CPU time.. I have much less installed then before the format, and nothing different then before the format.. so I am wondering whats using this CPU time.. its hard to just watch.. I can see the difference in RC-5. Im down about 6-7 thousand keys a second now. I cant find out whats stealing those keys!!

Yesterday.. I was just watching CPU usage by winamp while tweaking and I saw about 2-3 processes dissapear.. I didnt shut anything down.. nothing crashed, I was just watching the winamp %.. and the scroll bar disappeared because some processes shut down.. what could they have been lol..

For mdm.exe, did you turn off the mdm service in the services/administrative tools? I set mine at manual & it never shows up in the task manager.
