MCX4000+Enermax Blue 92mm Fan =Good Idea or Idiocy?

Okay here's the deal,This is the first pc, that I?m building that isn?t a hash of old parts and new (think computer jalopy). My wife to be is getting my old box. Since I don?t have 1500-2000 bucks to blow all at once, I?m slowly acquiring components and building over the summer. I?m trying to build with good components that are also not ugly. Yes I know a plain beige box works as well if not better than these new fangled flashy windowed stuff, but I wanted to get a little flash without sacrificing quality.

Ok the problem at hand, I?m in the process of researching HSF's for my new ?puter. I decided on the Swifty MCX4000. However the problem lies with the fan. I thought on getting the stock TMD. However I've read a few reviews and various forums and read that the these fans at one point were shorting out and dying. Plus I haven?t seen many folks raving about TMD?s on these boards. So no TMD. However I don?t want a big ugly black fan on my HS. So, this morning I think I might have found the answer, FrozenCPU has the Enermax Blue 92mm Fan w/ Speed Control. It?s a nice metallic blue, with clear blades, and has a manual speed control that you set and forget. They also have a 80mm to 92mm Aluminum Fan Adapter. So that combined with a nice laser grill would look great in my new LL case.

So it would look good, but would it work well? I want a quiet fan that looks nice, but also would be great for OC'ing if I decide to do so in the future. Is that too much to ask?

Go to SVC and find yourself an 80mm fan, they have plenty of bling bling ones there.

I haven't heard many good things about fan adapters, the general consensus is that they dont allow the full airflow to get through anyways.
