McQuires (et al) lens polishing kits

Has anybody here ever tried these headlight lens polishing kits ?

Do they help any ?

I have an older Town and Country that I use for deliveries and the headlights are all but useless because the lens are scuffed and yellowed.

I was wondering if these kit help any or if they're just more pie-in-the-sky gadgets for the "Tokyo Drift" crowd.

Meguiar's?

Anyway, they do work for mild yellowing.

They make one with some abrasive sanding pads that works very well for removing yellowing and haze. It is basically like wet sanding off the outer layer of your lens. Just follow the directions and keep the pads wet and you will have great results.

but my headlights are no where near as bad. I just want to take care of it early before my headlights look like those.

I had a PC random orbit polisher so I just used that with polishing compound after manually sanding. Probably could've saved myself a lot of time if I bought sanding discs, too.

Don't bother with the kit, just get some Meguiar's PlastiX polish and buff away.
