Cynthia, Cynthia, Cynthia... Is there any chance that maybe, just maybe, you've lost an election because of your politics rather than others' devious activity?

Shortly after the polls opened on Tuesday, allegations of voting irregularities began appearing on U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney?s campaign Web site.

At 8:14 a.m., the first complaint appeared: ?Less than an hour into voting, McKinney?s name is not on ballot, opponent?s is,? read an item on her blog.

McKinney made other claims about voting problems but did not elaborate or take questions before disappearing into a truck.

Both local and state elections officials said they are taking McKinney?s allegations seriously. But they were also quick to say many of the complaints were unwarranted.

It's always somebody else's fault, isn't it?

details: She was one of the few people actually asking the right questions and doing her job once in a while. The only thing shocking is they waited this long to make sure she doesn't get back in. Sure she wasn't perfect but there isn't one person on Earth who is.

Agreed. Cynthia is well aware who carried out the 9-11 operation. Having been fully briefed by many well informed true Patriots. Facing off against Rumsfeld's pack of lies during Congressional hearings was Cynthia's finest moment i thought.

Sad day for America to loose one more truth lover in a very important position. Hopefull during this election though we will gain dozens more. Many other people are as fed up with this sleazy dictatorship as Cynthia is.

Go ahead and attack her cornrows hairstyle if that's all the American you are.

In Georgia, Rep. Cynthia McKinney -- a vehement critic of President Bush who recently avoided charges in a March scuffle with a Capitol Police officer -- lost in a runoff against Hank Johnson, a former county commissioner in her suburban Atlanta district.

McKinney, addressing supporters after the loss, was unbowed. (Full story)

With 89 percent of precincts reporting, Johnson led McKinney 59 percent to 41 percent, according to Georgia's Secretary of State.

McKinney, an outspoken liberal, calls herself Bush's "worst nightmare." She lost her bid for a sixth term in Congress in 2002, after she suggested that members of the Bush administration stood to profit from the war that followed the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington -- but won the seat back in 2004.

I wonder why folks didn't vote for her?

Arrogance and contempt don't go very far in gathering the support of your alledged voting base.

If we can get the others like her on both sides to experience the same fate, it will be good for the country imo.

This is a step in the right direction, frankly I can think of only a handful of Senators and Reps who should keep their jobs, we need 90% of the people out of there which is why I'm not voting for any incumbants.

It's a shame they didn't try that with Saxby Chambliss.

But let's give a fitting tribute to McKinney . . . let's let her have the last . . . stark, raving, mad . . . words:

"Members of the press, as well as our political leaders, don't give us explanations that explain, or conclusions that conclude," McKinney said. "There comes a time when people of conscience are compelled to dissent."
Well that's basically true . . . not sure what it has to do with her, though. I would say her 'explanation' of her Capitol Police episode didn't explain much. And all I can conclude from her 9/11 rants is that she's as looney as the Bush wingnuts.

Look's like Bush's "worst nightmare" is now unemployed! Is she checking into an asylum now?

I love how the voter fraud card is played already...if anything the GOP would prefer her in office. Her antics are amusing and harm the Democratic Party.

Maybe someone who lives near her could call one of the local rock stations and request that they play "Shot Down In Flames" by AC/DC for her. It's about time that she got the boot and yes others like her in all parties need to go home for good.

There might be one rock station left in Atlanta. It's all Hip Hop and Espanol stations now.

Her corn rows have nothing to do with it. The real sad day for America is when the person asking the right question and advocating the right positions destroys her own credibility by appearing to be a complete whack job in the way she conducts herself in the rest of her public life.

All she succeeded in doing was casting a shadow on the credibility of others advocating on behalf of the same positions where she was right.

Then please explain Dumbya's re-election.

Oh wait, you are right, it doesn't go very far with people that think and actually pay attention to what in hell is going on.

Funny. The state of Georgia voted for George W. Bush. You're right, they did know what was going on.
