Some Georgian voters actually looked at the quality & qualifications of the candidates.

It's a shame they didn't try that with Saxby Chambliss.

But let's give a fitting tribute to McKinney . . . let's let her have the last . . . stark, raving, mad . . . words:

"Members of the press, as well as our political leaders, don't give us explanations that explain, or conclusions that conclude," McKinney said. "There comes a time when people of conscience are compelled to dissent."
Well that's basically true . . . not sure what it has to do with her, though. I would say her 'explanation' of her Capitol Police episode didn't explain much. And all I can conclude from her 9/11 rants is that she's as looney as the Bush wingnuts.

If you think that was coincidence you got sh!t for brains. Anyone here ever work security? I'm not talking about Disney World either. Yeah.... I thought not.

My Take: Black Ops.

What are you trying to say? And what do you mean by Black Ops?

snip - what happened with Cynthia McKinney was someone with a big ego getting into a tussle with a guard who didn't recognize her..... No conspiracy there.

As far as Black Ops goes it goes by many means. An Op. Covert Operation.... etc. I'm sure there are far more diplomatic names for it that sound really slick. You do not control your own government. That's an illusion. The last two elections in the US is evidence of that. That doesn't even go into what they are setting up for the next one. Your only true control lies in the law (Jury Nullification), which is heavily supressed and limited to the court.

You don't have to belieave me at all. If you ever get called as a juror just ask the Judge if he is allowed to direct the jury as far as what they are allowed to base their decision on. Ask the Judge to site the law which gives him this right (there isn't one). Furthermore ask the Judge if it's ok that you discussed Jury Nullifcation with the other jurors. See what happens to you. Trust me, you don't have to take my word for it.

What I do control is an aluminum oxide mine. Please help me out and put a few more layers on your hat.

Ok hot shot. Describe to me how exactly you control your government. I guarantee you that a few people here can probably tear it appart.

I'd like to hear your specific examples and evidence of who is actually "running the government." The US is a representative democracy, average citizens do not have direct control over anything and only tangential, greatly lagged (i.e. presidential election cycle) control over many things. I don't think anyone is disputing that.

But perhaps you could provide some evidence of who is "running the government" and how.

That's kind of the point. Search this forum on voting machines. You will find ample evidence that there may have been tempering. Even if there was none the very ease of doing it should make people like you and me demand they make it secure and not simply say that it's secure. There is also no way to truly confirm what a vote was since it's stored in a simple database that can be altered in a few seconds by anyone reasonably computer literate.

Furthermore they kept the Green Party and Libertarian Party candidates, illegally mind you, from the very last televised debate. Not only that but when they tried to serve a court order and crossed a police line to do so (they were being ignored by security) they were promptly arrested. They kept them locked up for a few hours and gave anyone who was looking for them the run around. There was no record of them having been in a jail.

Democracy my ass.
