I hate to say it so simply, but it wasn't missed by the majority of HTPC users. I know it had its users, but it really can be replaced by other streaming sources.

I always found it to be a rather poor implementation anyways. This is just one thing (in a long list of things) that Microsoft did poorly in WMC.

True, but at the very least it WAS embedded into WMC, which made it easy for anyone to use.
