Mac users do not go to Mcdonalds, they go to Star Bucks to write their screen play.

Also, where are the instructions for Linux, FreeBSD and FreeDOS?

Yeesh, why are they assuming windows users have static IP's, but MAC's don't?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Connecting to wifi on a mac and PC are equally easy. And both will automatically connect when it comes in range again.

I think the real thing to note here is they assume that only a PC user would have a complex enough need to have had static IP settings in the first place... So basically they are saying the PCs are used for real work, and Macs aren't 😛

Fail directions. TBH, I wouldn't want to be responsible for trying to explain how to customize IP configurations for any joe anonymous user, for Mac or for PC. It's equally simple for the 99% of folks who have DHCP defaults for their wireless cards anyway, Mac or PC it's super freaking easy.

lol if I was them I would give the wireless info and that's it. Up to people to know how to use their own devices imo.

This is the best answer. It's not rocket science, and if someone is fail enough to not know how to use their own device, you probably are better off with them not on your network to begin with.

On the Mac front, one of my clients just got a new MBA 11" and has already returned it.

He loved it, but it's not ready for his duty I guess.

Problems : Office 2011 Mac has significant issues staying connected to Microsoft Hosted Exchange services, and they don't have a workable BPOS or whatever for it that's stable yet (Microsoft fault here). Battery life shockingly poor (~3.5 hours with his use, which is just email, egnyte, office).

Pluses : Beautiful. Quiet. Fast. Thunderbolt.

I think he'll re-buy once some of the issues are ironed out, perhaps in the 13" model if it offers better battery life, as I believe those have larger internal batteries.

I have a MBA 11", The battery lasts ages! It's one of my favourite things about it. I don't have Office so I can't comment on that...
